SURREY, BC, Canada – Analytic Systems is moving to a
larger and more efficient manufacturing plant after
spending the last 16 years in a Surrey, British
Columbia-based industrial strata complex, growing from
one strata unit to seven, it reported in a recent
statement.
The Lean Manufacturing philosophy that has been the
basis of their growth and success over the past three
years has been the impetus for the move, according to
Analytic Systems.
The new plant is located in a large industrial park in
Delta, British Columbia, and with 33,000 square feet of
space, it more than doubles the size of the Surrey
location about 10 minutes away. The building is a
purpose-built electronics manufacturing plant
constructed by the previous owners, the company
reported. It will provide additional space for
manufacturing, an engineering services group assisting
the sales department with new custom opportunities based
on its COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) products, a
Center for Engineering Excellence developing new
products, as well as new office space.
The move is also a response to a forecast for a record
sales year and new product launches over the next few
years into the military and alternative energy markets,
according to Bill Walker, VP Sales and Marketing.
The company designs and develops DC/DC voltage
converters, MPPT Solar Charge Controllers, DC/AC
inverters, AC and DC source battery chargers, AC/DC
power supplies and AC/AC Frequency Converters.
