FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Bob Saxon, a 30-year veteran
within the large yacht industry, has formed a new
venture, the Bob Saxon Consultancy, he reported in a
statement this morning.
The Bob Saxon Consultancy offers services to the marine
industry, including marine service and yacht business
plans; corporate and yacht marketing strategies; charter
marketing strategies and positioning; marine market
branding; yacht operational and administrative
overviews; yacht ownership consulting; yacht operating
efficiencies; yacht sales strategies; and yacht owner
liaison, representative and agent.
Saxon is a self-described pioneer in yacht management,
crew management, yacht build projects and yacht charter
specializing in the luxury yacht space, having held a
series of senior executive and leadership positions in
the large yacht sector. Most recently and following the
sale in 2002 of Bob Saxon Associates — a 15-year-old
yacht services management firm — to Camper & Nicholsons,
he served as president of Camper & Nicholson’s USA.
Earlier in his career, Saxon was president of the Sacks
Group and vice president of Whittemore & Williams, a
yacht management services firm.
In addition, Saxon is the founding president of the
International Superyacht Society (ISS), an industry
trade group that supports the global superyacht industry
and serves to facilitate best practices and networking
across the industry at large; a licensed broker-manager
with Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA); and an
industry spokesman and advocate.
